Jessica has crammed in an awful lot in her years of practising property and business law. When Jess commenced practice, we took the view that if we could load her up to be involved in every single property and commercial matter that we had, we could jam about 5- or 6-years’ worth of experience in the property area into her in 2 years. Well that was a long time ago now and the decision we made then has been well rewarded. Jess can handle masterfully all property matters and has proved to be an excellent researcher of complex property and business problems. Jess has handled many large-scale development projects and all facets of property development have become her bread and butter. Jess loves helping everyone from downsizers, to first home buyers, to ‘I haven’t had any contact with a lawyer for years’ clients and assisting them navigate their matters to alleviate any stress or concern. Jess’ repeat clients and referral bases from these clients are a testament to the work she does.
“It gives me pleasure helping people and this area of the law really interests me. I think honesty and communication are the most important things in this job, as there is more to legal work than simply comprehending the law. You need to get to know your client to know how to best communicate with them. Legal work is about understanding who the client is and reaching practical and cost-effective solutions to problems as they arise.”
Jess has received the accolade of becoming a law society accredited specialist in property law. She is the only female accredited specialist in Property Law in the Sutherland Shire and is 1 of only 3 currently practising in the Sutherland Shire.
Outside of work Jess loves doing anything outdoorsy, true crime podcasts, walking her dog and spending time with friends, family, and her husband.
